Wayne Valentin | Golf Cart Mechanic Whangarei

I may not be great at golf, but I’m pretty good at fixing things.

Hi, I’m Wayne.

I’m a qualified New Zealand auto electrician and mechanic, with more than 20 years’ experience in the automotive industry as a business owner and operator in Auckland.

A few years ago, my family and I made the move north, settling on a lifestyle property in the Ruatangata area.

For the past eight years, I’ve worked in the heavy transport engineering sector, where I’ve continued to build my skills and experience working on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems.

About five years ago, I took up golf, and Northland Golf Club became my home club.

I’ll be honest — I’m a pretty high handicapper, thanks in part to injuries I picked up years ago playing indoor cricket!

But getting into golf introduced me to another opportunity.

I was already helping a few friends with their golf cart repairs and servicing, and I quickly realised there was a real need for a local, experienced golf cart repairer here in Northland.

So, I decided it was time to put my automotive experience to work in a new direction and start specialising in golf cart servicing, repairs and upgrades.

I might not be the best golfer on the course, but I know my way around a mechanical or electrical problem.

Outside of work, my priorities are pretty simple. I’m passionate about my family, and when I’m not working or playing golf, you’ll usually find me enjoying one of my other favourite pastimes — fishing.

Family, golf and fishing, those are the things that matter to me.

And now, keeping Northland’s golf carts running is something I’m pretty passionate about too.
